I have two things I do that help me relieve stress…
1. Going to get a mani/pedi – it feels so good to have other people take care of you. Plus it forces you to sit in one place for at least 30 mins. You really can’t do anything else. I take the time to focus on being in the moment; having someone washing and massaging my feet/hands, helping to nourish my skin and muscles.
2. Sit outside in nature early in the morning or late in the evening – I live in Houston so the city is busy all day long. Luckily in the early morning or late in the evening people are inside. I will go outside and soak up the quiet, the sounds of the trees or water running. Sometime I will go hiking to find the same solitude. Growing up in Colorado finding solitude was easy so I’ve had to learn to find that here in Houston.

Colorado and Houston are so different! My husband and I are trying to move to CO in the right timing. Glad you’re finding something that works for you! I’ve never been much on the mani/pedi, but we have a massage school nearby that sometimes does $30 massages, and I used to do those and they were great stress relievers!
Currently, stretching and reading about something I’m interested, an early morning cup of coffee, or a walk with my family do the trick for me.

I have a few ways that I like to relieve stress. One of them is taking care of my plants, another is aromatherapy showers. In the Midwest we get some pretty bad weather that does not permit much activity outside. During those months I like to dive into books more than usual and have herbal tea. Yogi Stress Relief with some lavender honey will also do the trick. To be completely honest though, yoga + deep breathing + incense has been my go to.

I wake up before my kids do, enjoy a full cup of freshly brewed coffee (with no interruptions), stretch, and then begin my workout. It’s my therapeutic outlet before the day begins and I start getting pulled in so many directions!

Hi all,
I also enjoy a mani and pedi for stress relief. It’s very soothing, relaxing and it puts me in a meditation mind set. Lighting a eucalyptic candle is a huge stress relief for me also in addition to kick boxing
