Biography |
I was an athlete growing up from age five through my senior year in college (gymnast, track and cross country). I competed at the highest levels. My entire life and most of my adulthood I have only known my body to be fit while I carelessly ate whatever I wanted when I wanted. I honestly never knew that I had a horrible relationship with food until I stopped competing and began to gain weight over time. That was over a decade ago. I’m now at my heaviest weight and have already experienced life changing health problems. I stopped looking at myself in the mirror post Covid shutdown. It shouldn’t take life altering health problems and none of my clothes fitting for me to admit my body no longer responds to a poor diet the way it used to. I am serious about my journey, but I aim to have fun along the way eating different recipes and foods that will fuel my body; keeping it healthy and strong. I hope to find a sustainable lifestyle change with food. I want to live!
My motto: “LIVE to eat, not eat to live!”
