Fitness is much more than exercising and dieting. Fitness goes hand-in-hand with wellness, and here at TRU Training we aim to exemplify a lifestyle which encompasses all aspects of health, including both physical health and mental health. You can connect more with your body by connecting to your breath, finding the present moment and becoming more in tune with your inner being.
It is crucial to be aware of the effects of our surroundings and what we’re filling our mental space with. That’s why we love reminding our warriors that real change must come from within.
When you consciously decide to make a change in your health and take steps toward living a more healthy, balanced lifestyle, you might find yourself becoming aware of things that are holding you back. You can release these blockages by moving your body, removing distractions and connecting with yourself.
The Benefits of Mobility
In our newest program, Sculpt, 2 days out of the weekly routine are mobility. In the mobility day workouts, you will be mainly stretching and moving your body to open up your joints and smooth out the motion of your movements. An important aspect of this workout is the connection between breath and movement. Similar to yoga where it is encouraged to connect the flow with your breath, you can find slow moments in the new program which will give you time to breathe and reflect.
Attune to the Moment
Instead of rushing to the next movement, slow steadiness is encouraged. This opens space for moments of thought, introspection and inner reflection. Whereas other workouts can feel like an added chore to cross off your to-do list, these flows are meant to be an enjoyable practice that you will look forward to doing. Taking time to attune to the moment is key for living a more present, grateful life. Having gratitude attracts more positive abundance and lets the universe know that you’re ready for a positive change.
Connect with Your Breath
Connecting with your breath is a great way to drop into the moment and feel present in your body. TRU Training is all about taking one step at a time toward your fitness goals, with the support of a community made up of women just like you. Pairing movement with breathwork and stretching is one of the best ways to enhance the longevity of your body and make sure that you’re doing your workouts in a sustainable way.
When you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, you can always come back to your breath. Focusing on your breathing makes you totally present and surrendered to the moment. Sometimes a few deep breaths can reset your energy and allow you to re-program your thoughts on the spot so that you don’t spiral into negative thoughts. Although it’s easier said than done to change your thought patterns, it is very simple to simply pause and take deep breaths to find a state of peace in our new Sculpt Program.
With these powerful tools, you can step into a new version of yourself that feels and looks amazing.
